A difficult story line for me to follow. This guy a brother of a teenager who he is trying to protect, picks up strangers and takes them to this ocean cliff and throws them into the sea, why because some creature gets into his mind and makes him do it. Nice effort on a different kind of horror story but I could not warm up to it.Product details

I really liked this book. The way it flowed I felt connected to the characters. Not offten can a book make me so mad I have to walk away from it, only to go pick it back up minutes later because I have to know what happens lol.
Very strange and interesting story. If you want everything spelled out and wrapped up, this probably isn't for you. I enjoyed it enough to look for more from this author..
Sometimes I has to reread in order to keep up with who the narrator was talking about but after awhile I got used to it and the suspense grew. The storyline was nothing like I've ever read.
Though, I wish the narrator was more descriptive about the settings (Not that it was too important).
Frightening...depressing...emotionally devastating but oddly and ultimately hopeful. Gripping from first chapter to last...forcing you to read on even when you don't really want to.
I really enjoyed this book. The suspense builds up from the first page right up to the last and you have absolutely no idea how it is going to turn out.
I am not a fan of horror. That said, this book hooked me from start to finish. I found it to be honest and well written with people I could relate with as I understand their impulses, not all of them . . . but more than I wanted to admit. There are some gruesome scenes but none of them are gratuitous. As for the ending, I did not see it coming and found that fact to be both amazing and satisfying. I look forward to reading more of Dean Clayton Edward's work.
I cannot overstate the first impression I got from reading this book (and, consequently, the author). In today's day and age, finding someone in the Horror genre who knows how to kickstart a story, structure a plot, and even develop something of a style on a first novel is beyond rare -and so I picked up this book with almost no expectations. That changed quickly.
This is the work of a writer who has tremendous ability and tremendous potential One to watch.
